I've used Wordpress much more than Joomla and DotNetNuke a heck of a lot more than the other two put together and squared! Why not DNN then I hear you ask.... well DNN is by far the best CMS package out there, but it lacks ready to go FREE plugins, unlike Wordpress and Joomla where the problem is there are too many available.
Between Wordpress and Joomla - I love the simplicity of Wordpress and hate the feel of the admin section of Joomla (oh I would love it if DNN had as many free plugins). However Joomla wins in the stakes of who's got the biggest userbase of tried and tested plugins.
So for www.bretagne-france.com it looks like it's going to have to be my least preffered choice of CMS website package, Joomla. On the plus side I'll become more familiar with it which is handy as I'm hosting Joomla websites for clients.

Well it would appear that there aren't any great HTML development apps available on Linux so I guess I'll be sticking with Windows XP for a while yet on my main PC.
However thanks to a m8 of mine in France I've been messing about with a version of linux called Mint Linux It's been going great, much better than when I tried Linux a few years ago. However I'm having some CPU 100% issues so will try an alternative Linux called Puppy Linux.
Last time I tried Linux I had loads of problems getting Wifi to work, in fact I think I gave up. This time it's worked perfectly and I'm seriously considering removing the NTFS partion from my laptop hard drive and just running Linux!
Just got to try another couple of flavours of Linux to make sure I've got the right one...
Thanks Micro$oft for making Windows Vista such a horrible upgrade prospect - you've opened my eyes to Linux :)

Brittany Internet has over 15 years experience in website design and has identified that the days of static website design is now over. The website is dead long live the website!
Yes that's right but thanks to our Content Management System we are able to rapidly develop new website designs for our clients and empower them with the ability to easily update and manage their own websites themselves with no HTML/programming skills required. Wait it gets better, the clients do not even require any specialist software to upload and edit their websites, all is done online thanks to our Content Management System.
So if it's so easy what do we do.... well there is the look/skin for the website design, that has to be created to suite the requirements of the website client, then there is the creation of the initial website content to get the client going and finally SEO - Search Engine Optimisation. After this we are available to hold the clients hand if they want anything special doing to their website/website design.
The biggest benefit for us is that the website can be developed more quickly with better interaction with our client. The biggest benefit for the client is the cost of developing a new website design is much less and they can perform everyday updates in house.

We have selected what we believe to be the very best Content Management System available on the market. We provide this service with custom designed skins to reflect a new or existing website design - we can take pretty much any existing website design and incorporate it almost exactly into our content management system. Often the only difference is that there is a login link on the page!
Here is a brief explaination of what a Content Management System is:
What is a Content Management System, or CMS?
It maybe obvious but perhaps it should be said that a content management system is quite simply - a system that manages content.
It is the obviousness of what a Content Management System/CMS is and can do, that has created a certain amount of confusion amongst potential purchases of such a system. Wrapped up in a seemingly harmless statement is enough ambiguity to enable all kinds of products to masquerade as content management solutions.
To understand what a content management system/CMS actually does, we have to first define :
- what are we referring to when we talk about content?
- what does management mean in terms of CMS?
- what do we mean by a system?
What is Content Management System?
Content is in essence, any type or 'unit' of digital information. It can be text, images, graphics, video, sound, documents, records etc - or in other words - anything that is likely to be managed in an electronic format.
What is Content Management System?
Content Management is effectively the management of the content described above, by combining rules, process and/or workflows in such a way that its electronic storage is deemed to be 'managed' rather than 'un-managed'.
What is the Content Management System?
The system itself is definable as a tool or combination of tools that facilitate the efficient and effective production of the desired 'output' using the managed content.
To combine all three, we can say;
"A Content Management System/CMS is a tool that enables a variety of (centralised) technical and (de-centralised) non technical staff to create, edit, manage and finally publish (in a number of formats) a variety of content (such as text, graphics, video, documents etc), whilst being constrained by a centralised set of rules, process and workflows that ensure coherent, validated electronic content."
In non technical terms a content management system allows you to update your website from any computer connected to the Internet without the need for HTML/programming skills or specialist software. All you need is Internet Explorer or Firefox and an Internet connected computer.
